Telling our story - Alexandra Football and Netball Club
Production of communications material
Funding form the Foundation assisted the Alexandra Football and Netball Club (AFNC) to tell their story, in order to attract funds to help construct a multipurpose community facility at the recreation reserve. The recreation reserve was the main staging area for fire fighters during the 2009 fires and the facilities are in a poor state. The Alexandra township and the regional community were struck hard by the 2009 bushfires and the roles of community clubs such as the AFNC were crucial to social recovery. Clubs such as the AFNC are essential for people to join and to share in common interests and assisted with resuming the normality of life post fires. The new multipurpose building would be used as a safe place assembly point in the event of a community emergency. The communications material developed as part of this project formed a package to present to potential funders for the community multipurpose facility.
