Who we are
The Murrindindi Food Relief Network is a group of community-based organisations and stakeholders that support the provision of initiatives and programs that provide food relief to people in need within Murrindindi Shire.
The Network provides a platform for members to sharing learnings, explore collaborations and partnerships to improve food insecurity together in our local community.
Purpose
The Murrindindi Food Relief Network aims to work together to support local food relief providers and help make food relief more equitable, accessible, reliable and sustainable in Murrindindi Shire.
Together we will:
- Explore how we can work together to optimise food relief efforts across the Shire.
- Improve the capacity and efficiency within existing the food relief providers through the transfer of information, knowledge, skills and resources.
- Build community food knowledge, skills, resources and access to affordable healthy food.
- Keep up to date with the latest relevant news, information, research and funding opportunities
- Receive updates from food relief organisations and distribution services
- Connect and collaborate with others working in the food relief space
- Advocate for solutions to effectively reduce food insecurity in the Shire.
- Seeking suitable funding to support local food relief projects and initiatives
- Proactively address challenges and make the most of opportunities in the food relief community.
