Murrindindi Community Food Share

Murrindindi Community Food Share is an initiative of Foundation Murrindindi.

The philosophy behind Murrindindi Community Food Share is “Share what you can, Take what you need”. This initiative is a tangible way that community can support community in addressing food insecurity.

Murrindindi Community Food Share currently operates on a monthly basis.  It is open on the first Thursday of every month, from 9am – 12pm at the rear of 88a Grant Street, Alexandra accessed via Bayley Street. Non perishable food and personal care items will be available. No appointments are necessary, simply drop in to the Community Food Share and bring your own bag if possible. We gratefully accept donations of fresh fruit and vegetables during opening hours on the day the Food Share is open.

This free initiative aims to complement the existing service providers addressing the increasing demand for food relief in our community.

Foundation Murrindindi encourages individuals and businesses interested in supporting the Food Share project to get involved by donating food and personal care items or providing financial contributions to sustain the program’s operations. If you wish to support this program please contact Robyn Hill 0488 007 688 or robyn@foundationmurrindindi.org.au

If you would like to volunteer your time and talent, please fill out the volunteer registration form at the bottom of this page.
